Santorum to Make Political Film
It must be emasculating to watch one's life-long efforts as a right-wing politician swept away in one short, decisive election day loss. Rick Santorum, the conservative ex-senator from Pennsylvania, is thinking about getting into the movie business. After a 12-year stint in congress he plans to influence the 2008 election by releasing a film one month before the polls open.
Santorum was overheard discussing the movie with "Passion of the Christ" producer and fellow Catholic Steve McEveety at the Pierre Hotel in New York City.
Apparently the plot revolves around three Iranian brothers. One of the brothers becomes a terrorist and comes to the United States. Yawn.
In the meantime, Santorum has a new law job at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, and serves as a senior fellow with the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, DC.
