Is Fred Thompson Gay?

Fred Thompson, star of Law and Order, former Senator from Tennessee, lawyer, lobbyist, possible Republican presidential candidate, and homosexual male? Everyone knows he's had many high-profile girlfriends over the years.

Country singer Lorrie Morgan, columnist Margaret Carlson, and Republican fundraiser Georgette Mosbacher, to name a few. He's currently married but this hasn't stopped speculation that Thompson's exploits may be less than straight-and-narrow.

Now that polls are showing the majority of Republicans are more tolerant of a wider range of sexual activities than previously thought, the rumors are flying. Andrew Sullivan explains, "This is good news for Fred Thompson. The man has had a colorful and wide-ranging sex life, as I'm sure we will soon find out."

The blog Wonkette writes, "COUGH COUGH FRED THOMPSON IS GAY... Sullivan is not even close to the first person we’ve heard float this particular rumor, not that that says anything as to its truth. Because we’ve also heard, from someone who insists that he heard it from people in a good position to know such things, that Fred Thompson has an enormous dick..."

Well then. Maybe if Thompson runs for president we'll get even more information we didn't care to know.
